Major Hazards

Survivability of Emergency Systems

This is a study technique which is used by RAS in selecting the most appropriate locations and level of protection for critical safety equipment in the field and for cable and pipework routings.

The technique involves the use of the frequency analysis, hazard ranges and event durations from the typical inputs to the Quantified Risk Analysis to predict the risk to the key safety systems such as fire and gas detection, emergency isolation and vent systems and fire water systems and pump houses.
